Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a lovely new year...weither you stayed in or went out. I felt very bad for Arthur today...he had to go to work for eleven until 4 then 5 until close at the cinema...normally that would be ok for him but we got in quite late last night. Luckily i stopped drinking early on because im an idiot when im drunk and i seem to have developed the ability to have absoluty shocking hangovers now!!! So i feel ok right now...i hope arthur does too!!!

Im sat on the sofa hugging the little electric heater and the duvet. i love our little flat but its too cold in the winter...and i dont want to put too many storage heaters on because they cost soooo much. Any tips on keeping warm in a draughty massionette flat....which im pretty sure has no insulation of any kind??

Anyways...during my adventures on the sofa this morning i could feel myself saying "its ok...the stuff you wanted to get done dont really need to get done today...you dont have to put away fabric and dust and other stuff" so i thought id try and get myself inspired as a result im listing to a pod cast on Craftsanity (the one with Alicia Paulson on it.) And it has worked....not only did i dust and tidy but i also did this.....

its a little phone pouch. i made it from a piece of felt which i machien felted myself (first time i have done this intentionally....favorite jumpers on a hot wash dont count!) from a scarf which was 50p!!!! ive been holding onto it for a long time now because i like the pattern and its really soft...but im glad i took the plunge and snipped into the fabric...i like the little pouch and have lots left...maybe a coin purse?? or a case for my needles??
Anyways... i wish everyone of you health, wealth and happiness for the coming year (my nanny says writes this in every card and im going to carry on the tradition!)
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
xx
