Such A Rubbish Horrible Day.

Hi everyone...please excuse me for the next few sentences but i need to get this off my chest. i was working a 9-4.30 today...my shift started off OK, although i had a splitting headache. But about 2 hours into my shift and it all went down hill...down a really steep hill!!! i think that every single grumpy/annoying/horrible/miserable customer came to my till. i had pretentious teenagers (i don't like to stereotype but i would money on them being cheltenham ladies) who thought that not only could they talk to me as if i was a retarded robot but that they could bitch about my colleagues in front of me. apparently it would seem that if you wear a cineworld hat you have no ears...or independent thought. After id gotten over the teenagers i then had numerous people who took the prices of stuff in the cinema personally and as a consequence blamed me. But the real icing on the cake was a man who through a hissy fit because the hot dogs weren't cooked. what would he rather?? a nice 'hot' hot dog (which i offered to take through to his screen for him!) or one that would give him a squiffy belly because it wasn't cooked properly. He was soo mean that he made me cry after he had been kicked out. I'm sorry to moan and groan but by writing about it here i am able to prove to myself that i am articulate enough to better myself over them.
phew!!!!

Anyway. on Tuesday el and i are taking our stock to MADE. I'm really looking forward to it...but also worrying because we have no where near enough stock....hence these little guys are going to be transforming on the sofa with me this evening.....
About 25 dust bunnies...and guess what?? i didn't ruin any when i was turning them the right way round!! i made the ears a little bit wider than the other ones and it has made a real difference. hopefully i can get all of these stuffed and closed tonight....hmmm wishful thinking methinks?!
Do you remember a while back i posted a picture of some of the seeds that we had growing in the pots on our window sill....well there not seeds anymore...
Well, the dust bunnies are waiting. I'm sorry about the tirade at the start of this post....
xx

  2. Oh no! Sorry you've had such a tough day - sounds awful. And thank you for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog. Double thank you if you were feeling that bad at the time.
Hope the rant did you good (always helps me!) and being crafty with the dust bunnies makes you feel better. They look great so far - the colours look great all laid out like that.

  4. Awww Bex hope you're feeling a bit better today. Sounds like you had a coachload of *rseholes in! I quite often have days where all I get is arrogant tw*ts and just want to give up, argh!

Your seeds are doing well! Hope you got some of the dust bunnies finished :)

  5. I'm really sorry you had such a bad day, people don't seem to realise that people who work in the retail and service industy are human beings as well. I mean that guy with the hot dog sounded completely out of order and to make you upset too. And don't worry about getting upset either, i get upset when someone has a go when they have no right to and you try your best to help them, but they don't see it that way. And then they wonder why people in those industries are so miserable. Have you ever had some one say to you "cheer up, it might never happen' on the job? Those people drive me insane.
    Now im ranting - sorry!

Thats a hell of a lot of dust bunnies, you guys are really productive! I need to take a leaf out of your book!

And your plants look wonderful! I love watching things grow on the window sill. No idea why.

Hope today is a great day for you!

  6. I'm so sorry to hear you had the day from Hell. Some people can be so horrible!!I hate the "well thats what they get paid for" attitude, sorry but where in any employment contract does it state that you have to except being treated like something from the bottom of someones shoe?? Yeah, it doesn't.
I've had some pretty crummy jobs in the past and some awful customers too. I used to just think that their lives were obviously laking in something for them to behave like this. Chin up my dear....you are so much better :) those little dust bunnies look so cute, cant wait to see them finished. Hugs Emms xx
